Duct Cleaning

Is duct cleaning right for your home?

If you answer yes to any of the following questions then some consideration should be done!

  • Is there substantial visible mold growth inside on hard surfaces like (e.g., sheet metal) ducts or on other components of your heating and cooling system? (Note: This could be caused by factors other than just dust and debris build-up)?
  • Are ducts infested with vermin, e.g. (rodents, insects & spiders)?
  • Are ducts clogged or restricting air flow with excessive amounts of dust and debris that is visible?
  • Do out notice dust and other debris collecting on the supply and return vents in your home after you clean them?
  • Do you or someone in the home seem to have more prevalent respiratory symptoms when the furnace or air conditioner is running?
  • Has any major renovations taken place that were causing more dust and debris than normal home improvement projects, eg. (sheet rock, sub flooring,) and structural changes?

Mesaba Heating & Air Conditioning Can Help!

Once you have considered getting your air ducts cleaned it’s time to call us for an appointment. We use negative air pressure with the Viper Duct Cleaning System to ensure that your ducts are the cleanest in the northland. Unlike previous duct cleaning systems, the Viper utilizes air pressure in a wiping motion that loosens any build up and then pushes it away with air pressure, just like a garden hose with no nozzle on the end of it. Our truck mounted negative air pressure machine then pulls the air from the duct containing all the dust and debris that the Viper has loosened up. Traditional duct cleaning systems used a brush and a vacuum system to clean the ducts. That worked fine enough if you had round ducts. With rectangular ducts the round brushes could not get the corners therefore not cleaning all the duct. With the Viper system it doesn’t matter what size, shape or configuration you have, it call all be cleaned.
